Rachael Elizabeth Skeen Armentrout

Mrs. Rachael Elizabeth Skeen Armentrout, 83, of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at her home.  She was born on September 1, 1941 in Davidson County, NC to Hal Skeen and Lillian Elizabeth Conrad Skeen, both of whom preceded her in death.  She graduated from Fair Grove High School and Ashmore Business College.  She worked as a secretary for many years with Harriss and Covington Hosiery in High Point, Mid-State Tile in Lexington, and Phillips-Foscue in High Point.  She was a member all her life of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was the former treasurer and member of the Altar Committee, and where her grandfather, Estes Conrad was a founding member.

On June 21, 1964, she married Billy Warren Armentrout, who survives of the home; also surviving are her two sons, David Warren Armentrout (Charles McDonald) of Orlando, FL and Michael Lee Armentrout (Sheila) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Carson Delanie Armentrout Anderson (Nick) of Raleigh and Cleveland Gordon Armentrout of Thomasville; and her twin sister, Carolyn Leigh Skeen of Thomasville.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Gina Schaefer officiating.  Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  Mrs. Armentrout will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until the hour of the service.  The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 115 Unity St. Thomasville, NC 27360.  Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
