James “Randy” Randall Miller, 67, of Thomasville passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington.
Randy was born July 26, 1953 to the late James Franklin Miller and Lannie Pierce Miller in Davidson County. He formerly was an active member of West End United Methodist Church in Thomasville and attended Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Lexington. He was a former member of Thomasville Rescue Squad and Pilot Fire Department. Randy was a humble, tender hearted, and patient man of faith. His joy was his family, always being there for his grandkids events and caring for his two beloved cats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Michael Miller.
Surviving is his wife of 46 wonderful years, Valerie Shaw Miller of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Bumgarner (Brian) of Lexington; a brother, Glenn Miller (Ellen) of Murrells Inlet, SC; two granddaughters, Madison and Sydney; special friend, Kim Mincey of Loris, SC; many cousins and extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Karen Roberts and Rev. Jeff Sypole officiating. To honor Randy, the family ask that attendance wear “bright and happy” colors in his memory. The family will greet friends following the service.
