Rebecca (Becky) Dianne McDaniel Hedgecock Obituary

Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) Dianne McDaniel Hedgecock, 75, of Abbotts Creek Church Rd. passed away on Monday evening, February 10, 2020 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1944 in Guilford County, NC to James Baxter McDaniel and Ollie Esther Buck McDaniel. She was a seamstress in the furniture industry and worked on the family tobacco farm with her husband, Hubert Lee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lee Hedgecock, Sr. on December 9, 2016, whom she married on March 18, 1965; and her brother, Joel Baxter (Butch) McDaniel.

Surviving is her step-son, Lee Hedgecock, Jr. and wife Suzann of High Point; sisters, Patricia Dell Cain and Shirley McDaniel Brown; grandchildren, Kaci Lee Hedgecock and Kevan Ward Hedgecock; nieces, Susan Hunnings and husband Lee, Wendy Thompson, Candy Fleming and husband Tony, Cindy Dabb, and Denise McDaniel; nephew, Joel McDaniel; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the home of Lee Hedgecock, Jr. 3820 Mock Road, High Point, NC 27265. J.C. Green & Sons in Wallburg is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
