Richard Perryman, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Richard E. Perryman, Sr., 88, of Thomasville passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Richard was born May 8, 1935 to the late William Vincent Perryman and Willa Mae Payne Perryman in Davidson County. He graduated from Hasty High School and served his country in the United States National Guard. Richard became a machinist working for Wilson Machine Company, Adams-Millis, and Die-Tech, Inc. Richard was a member of Westchester Baptist Church in High Point.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Jean Pugh Perryman, December 13, 2016; four siblings, Alfred E. Perryman, Ruby Cooper, Harold D. Perryman, Donald L. Perryman.

Surviving are his two children, Cindy Harris and husband Gary of High Point, Richard “Rick” Perryman and wife Holly of Archdale; four grandchildren, Stephen Harris and wife Misty, Jonathan Harris, Andrew Perryman and wife Rachel, and Austin Perryman; two great grandsons, Shepherd Lyle Harris and Noah Richard Perryman.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Westchester Baptist Church in High Point with Rev. Eric Peacock officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior from 10:30 to 11:45 AM at the church. Memorials may be given to Westchester Baptist Church, Hospice of the Piedmont or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
