Richard “Hook” Brooks Sellers, 82, of Thomasville passed away peacefully at Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. Hook was born April 6, 1939 in Anson County to the late Thomas Sellers and Maybelle Brooks. Hook was a cabinet builder for a majority of his career and worked at Hatteras Yacht Industries. He loved bowling and always enjoyed supporting any kind of racing. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Ray Sellers.
Surviving are his three brothers; Billy Sellers of Seagrove, Bobby Sellers (Jessie) of Asheboro, Johnny Sellers of Thomasville; one sister, Peggy Graf (Joe) of Thomasville; three nephews, Scotty Sellers, Danny Blizzard, Doug Graf; five nieces, Linda Collins, Teresa Cox, Karen Lambert, Fay Sellers, and Kay Strickland; two great-nephews, Darrell Sellers and Gregory Sellers.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Scotty Sellers officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
