Mr. Richard “Ricky” Stephen Deaton, age 70, of Lexington passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his resident. Ricky was born on September 18, 1955 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Adra Claudette Deaton and the late, Richard Cleveland Deaton. Ricky was of the Baptist faith. He retired as an independent car dealer, owning Valley Motors. He had a love for old cars and loved to go to a car show.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Deaton of the home; his mother, Adra Claudette Deaton Bevan of Thomasville; his brother, Jeffery Deaton of Thomasville; two daughters, Lisa McFarland and husband Scott of Lexington and Amy Blankenship and husband Bobby of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Caeley Smith, Landyn Blankenship, and Savanna Smith; one niece and one nephew; and special ex son-in-law Douglas Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Walters Grove Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Michael Orman officiating. The family will speak to friends immediately following the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com
