Richard “Ricky” Carlyle Singleton, 70, of Winston-Salem went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Ricky was born in Forsyth County on August 10, 1951 to Robert Carlyle Singleton and the late Ruth Ragland Singleton. Ricky was a graduate of East Forsyth High School. While in high school, Ricky played the clarinet in the marching band as well as the Friedland Moravian Church band. Ricky worked for Hanes for many years and retired after 35 years. Ricky loved collecting miniature tractor-trailers and NFL football memorabilia. Ricky was a thoughtful and caring person who was always quick to express his gratitude. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Thomas Singleton and wife Julie of Lexington, and several nieces and nephews.
A cryptside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 11:00am. Pastors Adam Goodrich and John G. Rights will be officiating.
