Robert Daniel Langley

Mr. Robert Daniel Langley, age 82, of Winston-Salem went to his Heavenly Home on Friday, April 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Davidson County on April 27, 1941 to the late George Robert and Etta Mae Snyder Langley.  Mr. Langley spent forty-two years of his life serving God’s people as a church pastor all over the state of North Carolina. He once served as District Overseer for the Church of God of Prophecy and planted a church in Statesville.  With his avid skills he built and remodeled several churches and parsonages throughout the state.  After retirement in 2005 he moved to Winston-Salem where he became part of the family at Life Impact Church.  He enjoyed retirement and dedicated more time toward his love of fishing, shopwork, and restoring boats.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Onnie and Bruce Langley; one sister, Mary Stokes; and a granddaughter, Courtney Langley.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of sixty-three years, Rebecca Langley of the home; son, Paul Langley of Winston-Salem; daughter, Belinda James and husband Robby of Germanton; brother, George Langley and wife Thelma of Lexington; four grandchildren, Michael James (Corteney), Jonathan James (Sydney), Brittany Misay (Ben), and Whitney Smith (Austin); four great-grandchildren, Brody Cassell, McKenzie Smith, Cannon Smith, and Aubrey Misay; a special nephew, Marvin Bentley; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many great friends all over the state of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Life Impact Church with Bishop Titus Anderson and Bishop George McLaughlin officiating. A special tribute to be provided by son-in-law, Robby James and music by Sherry Melvin. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM on Monday at the church prior to service, 5090 South Main Street, Winston-Salem.
