Robert Zane West, Sr.

Mr. Robert Zane West, Sr., 73 of Thomasville went to be with the Heavenly Father on Monday, September 13, 2021 while at Novant Thomasville Medical Center.  He was born on March 1, 1948 in Brevard, NC to the late Robert Frank and Ruth Brittian West.  Mr. West was a member of Woodland Baptist Church where he served as part of the Bus Ministry.  He was a retired school bus driver for the Ledford school system.  Mr. West served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Jean Johnson West and three sisters, Zona Jones, Zora Honeycutt, and Zelma Grubb.

Mr. West will be lovingly remembered by his children, Angie Wilson and husband Philip of Thomasville and Bobby West and wife Faith of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Andrew Wilson, Daniel West, and Hannah Wilson; mother-in-law, Frances Johnson of Sevierville, TN.; one niece and multiple nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Zion United Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, Sept 16 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Wallburg, 10301 N.
