Robert Billy "Bill" Loflin Obituary

Robert Billy “Bill” Loflin, 90, of Thomasville passed away peacefully at Mt. Vista Health Park on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Bill was born August 21, 1931 in Randolph County to the late Cepha Milton Loflin and Nannie Elizabeth Hancock. Bill was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He worked many years in the furniture industry at Thomasville Furniture, and retired after 45 years of service. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fox hunting, raising cows, and working on the farm. He served many rolls in life, but being a wonderful husband, dad, brother and grandpa was his greatest blessing. He will be missed by many. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Loflin, Eugene Loflin and Coy Loflin; one sister, Ruby Lee Noah.

Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Farrist Ann Barnes Loflin of the home; one son, Dale Loflin and wife Mary Nell; one daughter, Janet Loflin Jenkins and husband Mike; three grandchildren, Meredith Ward and husband Brandon, Daniel Loflin and wife Caroline, Heather Hall and husband Chuck; great-grandchildren, Maddison Loflin, Cooper Hall, Weston Loflin. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Lexington with Rev. Brad Treece officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Chuck Hall 186 Underwood Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360.
