Robert Marshall Hepler

Robert Marshall Hepler 79, of Archdale, passed away, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Robert was born on October 30, 1945, to the late Charles Franklin Hepler and Artie Bowers Hepler. A resident of this area all his life, he graduated from Trinity High School and High Point College. He retired from Randolph County Schools with 30 years of dedicated service with several schools in the Archdale-Trinity area. He attended Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Thomasville.

Robert enjoyed working on the family farm with his brother, Larry, from a very young age, until he was no longer able to assist due to health reasons.

Robert enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Pat, family, and friends. He enjoyed going on annual beach and mountain trips with his extended family as well. He loved being outdoors whether it was working on the lawn at Mayfield as a young gentleman, working with Pat in their yard, or morning and afternoon walks with Pat.

 He will be remembered as a loving Christian man, who loved his Lord and his family. Over the years Robert cared for many of his aunts and uncles as their health declined without hesitation. Matthew 25:23 describes Robert perfectly, “His master said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things: enter into the joy of your master.”  

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pat Tipton Hepler, brother, Larry Hepler and niece Lori Taylor.

The family will receive friends at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville from 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church -1393 Hasty School Road in Thomasville with Rev. John Stein officiating.
