Robert Zebedee Hester

Mr. Robert Zebedee Hester 95 a resident of Archdale died Monday June15, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Hester was born July 17, 1924 in Randolph County and was the son of Elias Zebedee Hester and Lucy Marsh. Robert was a retired Naval Chief Petty Officer, serving with the Pacific Submarine fleet. He proudly served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, working with dolphins in the fleet reserve after retiring from the Navy.

Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents, wife Faye Hodge, sister Lucille Sanchioli and son Robert Dale Hester.

Surviving family members are daughter Linda Hester, Grandchildren Jacob Hester-Heard and Jessica Reno. Great grandchildren Aaron Reno, Alex Reno, Abigail Reno and Ava Rogers.

Graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 A.M.  Thursday June 25, 2020 at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville N.C. Paul Welborn will be officiating. Mr. Hester will lie in state from 9am until 5pm Wednesday at J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Thomasville, N.C.
