Robin Scott Kernersville - Robin Scott (née Parnell) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 68 after facing Alzheimer's disease with immense grace and strength. Robin was a lifelong resident of Kernersville. She attended Parkland High School and went on to further her education at FTCC. Robin shared her massive heart with the community as a substitute teacher for the WSFCS, where she discovered a special calling working with special needs children. At the center of Robin’s world was her enduring love for her husband, Mike (Tony). Their devotion to each other was the cornerstone of their life. When they welcomed their children, Robin embraced her greatest and most cherished role, becoming a mother. Years later, her heart grew even larger when she became a mamaw to her beloved grandson, Nolan, who brought an immense amount of joy, laughter, and light to her life. Truly ahead of her time, Robin chose to become a home educator in the 1990s, charting her own course to raise and teach her children when homeschooling was rare. With Mike by her side, her patience, wisdom, and forward-thinking nature shone brightly during those years, shaping the lives of her family with an abundance of care and intention. Robin was a woman of many gifts. She was an amazing cook who took great joy in nurturing her family, and her creative spirit thrived whenever she was making arts and crafts. Her kindness extended beyond people to all living things; she had a deep love for plants and flowers, and she possessed a rare, beautiful gift for connecting with animals, who instinctively knew they were safe in her presence. Above all, Robin had the kindest, most caring heart imaginable. She was the absolute best. A fiercely devoted wife, a loving mother and mamaw, and the truest friend anyone could ever ask for. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but forever cherished by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike (Tony) Scott, her children, Kyle Scott and Michelle Scott, her cherished grandchildren; Nolan, her step-granddaughter Breanna, her mother, Sarah Parnell, and her brother, Rick Parnell. Preceded in death by her father, Wesley Parnell. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Trellis Supportive Care for their compassionate help, guidance, and dedicated care during this time.
