Ronald Wayne Russell

Ronald Wayne Russell, 77, of Asbury, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025.  He was born on March 14, 1948 in Thomasville, Nc to the late Robert and Frances Russell.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Russell; his sister, Deborah Houston (Delbert); and stepson, Charles Delille.

Survivors include, sons, Ronald Boyd Russell (Tommy) of Maui, HI and Marty Dale Russell (Julie) of Thomasville, NC; daughters, Melissa Jane Russell (Carey) of Wilmington, NC and Wendy Michelle Johnston (Richard) of Winston-Salem, NC; stepsons, John Richard Delille (Ann) of Bellevue, PA, James Ronald Delille of Pickerington, OH and Max Joseph Delille (Sue) of Langsville, OH; sisters, Brenda Pennington and Sharron Darr (Steve) of Thomasville, NC; special aunt, Jonell Chandler of Franklin, KY; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Ronald was a truck driver for McLean Trucking and Yellow Freight.  After driving, he and his wife were cattle farmers for 30 years in West Virginia.

A private burial will be held at a later date in Asbury, WV.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to HospiceCare of WV-Lewisburg Office or Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery 580 Old Asbury Road, Asbury, WV 24916.
