Ronald Van Welch

Mr. Ronald Van Welch, 71, of Thomasville passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at his home. Ronald was born February 28, 1954 in Guilford County to the late Alden Van Welch and Daisy Samuels Welch. Ronald worked many years for Castlewood and Cramer Wood in the Sales Department. Later he was employed by Kernersville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and was known as “Turbo”. He lived life to the fullest and loved to fill his days with baseball and hunting. His greatest joy was the time and memories he made with his beloved family. Ronald was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Susan Allen Welch of the home; one daughter, Heather Sentell and husband Joe; four grandchildren, Gavin Sentell, Madison Sentell, Colt Sentell, and Keely Sentell.  

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.
