Rev. Ronald “Ron” Howard Mason, 71, a resident of Trinity, went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 2, 1950 in High Point to the late Calvin Eugene Mason, Sr. and Edna Modena Dehart Mason. Ron was a former minister in the area for many years and attended True Gospel Baptist Church in Trinity. He loved Jesus, going to church, preaching, and singing everywhere he went. Whether it was mowing yards or his ministry, he was always considered a hard worker. He had a special love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron always enjoyed his sweets, sweet tea, and moon pies. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister-in-law, Wilma Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Ann Grant Mason of the home; three daughters, Angie Fivecoat and husband Chris of Randleman, Barbara Luther of Spencer, and Deanna Lenz of Thomasville; three sons, James Mason of Lexington, Kenan Foster and wife Suzanne of Staley, and Darren Foster and wife Anna of Sophia; four brothers, Calvin Mason, Jr. of Topton, Hoyt Mason and wife Cindy of High Point, Tim Mason and wife Jo of Winston-Salem, and Samuel Mason and wife Trudy of Topton; fifteen adoring grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM at True Gospel Baptist Church in Trinity with Rev. Rick Shoemaker officiating.
