Ronald (Ron) Lee Sechriest

Mr. Ronald (Ron) Lee Sechriest, 69, of Thomasville, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at his home.  He was born on September 10, 1953 in Davidson County, NC to the late Boyce Ervin Sechrist and Violet Christine Saunders Sechrist.  Ron retired from Steelcase, Inc., working at the High Point manufacturing plant.  He had a successful landscaping business and built many friendships with his customers over the years.  He was a member of Zion Church. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Koonts Sechriest on July 22, 2013, whom he married on December 7, 1974.  Surviving are his sons, Jerry Sechriest and wife Hope of Salisbury and Scott Sechriest of Statesville; and grandchildren, MaKenzie, Addyson, Emory, and Jackson Sechriest.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Zion Church, 130 Hasty School Road, Thomasville, NC with Rev. Donnie Thompson officiating.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.  Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be sent to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
