Ruby Marlowe Obituary

Ruby Everhart Marlowe, 95, formerly of Thomasville, NC died on April 2, 2020 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur after a period of declining health. A native of Davidson County, Ruby was born on September 17, 1924, and was the daughter of the late C. Lacy and Addie R. Everhart. She was a 1942 graduate of Thomasville High School. On December 27, 1942, Ruby married William Clyde Marlowe, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville.

Ruby is survived by her two sons, James Lacy Marlowe of Asheboro and William Clyde Marlowe, Jr. (Brenda) of Greensboro; two granddaughters, Lisa Ramey (Jamie) of Ferrum, Virginia, and Karen Marlowe of Apex; seven great-grandchildren, Christine Dunn, Jessica D. Chenault (Wolfgang), Matthew Dunn (Abigail), Isaac Dunn (Gabby), Emma Dunn, Cole Hess, and Will Hess; three great-great-grandchildren, Abigail, Leia, and Tiberius Chenault.

A private family graveside service will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday with Rev. Bynum Orr officiating. J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville is assisting with arrangements. The family request that memorial contributions be directed to the First Baptist Church building fund, 8 Cramer Street, Thomasville, NC 27360 or to Hospice of Randolph County. The family appreciates the care provided for Ruby over the past five years by Universal Health Care and Hospice of Randolph County.
