Rudolph "Jr" McCurdy, Jr.

Mr. Rudolph “Jr” McCurdy, Jr. 78, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at his home. Rudolph was born on March 13, 1947 in Thomasville. He attended Thomasville City Schools. Rudolph was a passionate golfer. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his family.

Rudolph is survived by Ernestine McCurdy, his children, Marvel Burton, and Sean McCurdy; his siblings, Cora Gathings, Barbara Love and husband Glenn, Janet McCurdy, Donald McCurdy, Gary McCurdy, Mitchell McCurdy, Sherry McCurdy, and Terry McCurdy. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his son, Rudolph “Sam” McCurdy; his parents, Helen Berry McCurdy and Rudolph McCurdy, Sr; and two siblings, Shirley McCurdy and Steven McCurdy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. The McCurdy family would like to acknowledge the many acts of kindness extended to us during this difficult time of bereavement.
