Mrs. Ruverna Nichols Evans, 95, of Winston-Salem NC passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021. Ruverna was born in Surry County, NC on April 22, 1926 the daughter of the late John Henry and Martha White Nichols. She retired from Alma Desk Co. working in the office. She was a very active member of English Road Baptist Church in High Point and attended the Rebekah Sunday school class. Ruverna was strong in her faith and had a sweet and generous spirit. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ray Von Evans, and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, James Evans and his wife, Angie of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held On Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home, 122 West Main St. Thomasville, NC. 27360, with Dr. Jim Summey officiating, and a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
