Samuel "Sam" Everhart Obituary

Samuel “Sam” Frederick Everhart, 56, a lifelong resident of Thomasville, passed away on November 11, 2021 at his home. Sam was born on June 11, 1965 in Davidson County, a son to the late Wilburn K. Everhart and Lula Faye Nance Everhart. He graduated in 1983 from East Davidson High School where he was a standout baseball player which earned him a scholarship to Wingate University. Sam began his career in the auto body repair business over 35 years ago and he was very well respected within the industry and among his peers. When not working he enjoyed playing golf, spending time at the lake but most of all, hanging out with his family and friends gathered around the fire pit. What amazing stories were told and memories made during these special evenings. Sam never met a stranger and when he entered the room his smile and laughter was contagious. You could always count on him being quick with a joke or doing his funny impressions. He was also generous to a fault and had an amazing heart. He was the best friend that anyone could have ask for. He will be remembered as someone that was always there for others and never hesitated when called upon. Sam or Sammy to others; will truly be missed and will always live on in our hearts and minds as a beautiful person.

Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Michelle Gunter Everhart; his beautiful daughter, Caroline Grace Everhart both of the home; sisters, Kim Spencer (Steve) and Lynn Everhart; nephews, Don Spencer Jr., Joseph Kelley and Jacob Kelley; aunt, Betty Everhart and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind many beloved extended family members and close friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Sam’s life will be held at J C Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Danny Leonard officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
