Santiago Lauro Calva-Tellez

Mr. Santiago Lauro Calva-Tellez, 60 of Thomasville passed away Tuesday February 23, 2021 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Santiago was born July 25, 1960 to the late Jorge Calva-Ortiz and Antonia Tellez-Bonilla in Mexico City, Mexico. He was of the Catholic faith. Santiago worked many years as a very talented mechanic. He enjoyed eating a good meal, watching movies, and spending time with his dogs. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Santiago had a great sense of humor and personality; he never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by everyone.

Surviving is his loving wife Andrea Escalante-Villegas of the home; three children, Rubi Calva-Escalante and husband Ricky, Eder Calva-Escalante and wife Jennifer and Laura Calva-Escalante and husband Alan; four siblings, Isabel Calva-Tellez, Carlos Calva-Tellez, Enedina Calva-Tellez, Jaime Calva-Tellez; seven grandchildren, Emily, Evelyn, Scarlett, Camila, Oliver, Anthony, and baby Max, on the way. He also leaves behind his extended Escalante-Villegas family.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville with Fr. Gabriel Carvajal Salazar officiating.
