Sarah Elizabeth Grove

Sarah Elizabeth Grove, 30, of High Point, NC, left this world unexpectedly on May 14, 2020 at 4:54 pm enveloped in love by her close-knit family.

Sarah was born on August 21, 1989 at 12:29 am at the Carolina Birth Center in High Point, NC, to Kellie Hufford Boseman and the late Rusty Alan Grove.  Sarah graduated from Ledford Senior High School in 2007 and attended Cape Fear Community College.  Sarah was a charismatic bartender in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, NC, and at Blue Rock Pizza and Tap in High Point, NC.  Sarah’s bright light permeated her entire community.

She was preceded in death by her doting father, her Pawpaw, George Leon Hufford, great grandfather, Richard Lyndon Bulla, beloved great-grandmother, Frankie Royal Bulla, and her cat “Johnny”, who enriched her life immeasurably.

She is survived by her staunch Mauma, her Nana, Jo Carol Bulla Hufford whom she loved the most and boyfriend Chuck Hathcock, her aunt and creative accomplice, Amanda Lea Hufford, her steadfast brother bear Zachary Lyndon Grove and wife Christi whom she adored, sweet nephew Benjamin Leon Grove, nephews Peyton and Hunter Smith, nieces Hannah and Maddie Smith, loving sister Taylor Grove Bradley, devoted step-father Richard Steven Boseman, and a long list of beautiful family and close friends whom she considered family.               

Sarah saw the very best in every person she encountered and loved without restraint, expecting nothing in return.  She held her pain in check so that anyone who needed an ear, or a strong and earnest hug would have it. Sarah laughed deeply, infectiously, and resoundingly.  Everyone who knew her knew they had someone who would “get it”, no matter the circumstance, and knew that they could be exactly who they are and be heard, appreciated, and enriched in her company.  We are all so humbled to have been blessed with her presence if even for such a painfully short time.
