Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Morton Leonard, 76, of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center.  She was born on January 20, 1947 in Davidson County, Thomasville, NC to Doctor Worth Morton and Geraldine Call Morton, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and loved painting, gardening, and hummingbirds.

Surviving are her daughters, Shannon Myers and husband Jeff, Lisa Cecil and husband Darren, Allison Rankin and husband Bill, and Ashley Curry and husband Richard; her sons, Lee Powers and wife Amy and Matt Leonard and wife Kim; sister, Sylvia Baity; grandchildren, Ted Clodfelter and wife Lane, Sharon Henderson and husband Dylan, Brittany Rankin, Abigail Rankin, Miranda Curry, Bryson Curry, Tyler Jackson, Kelli Brewer, and Shaylee Powers; two great-grandchildren, Allie Clodfelter and Oakley Henderson; and her canine companion, Tucker.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Paul Titus officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.
