Mrs. Shelby Daniels Wallace, 88, of Trinity, went to be with Jesus and her husband Tom, Friday, June 5, 2026 at High Point Medical Center.

Shebly was born September 13, 1937 a daughter of the late Simpson Boyd Daniels and Letha Hunt Daniels of Davidson County. She was employed by Davidson County Schools and worked at Fair Grove Elementary School in the cafeteria for 19 years. She retired in 2007. Shelby loved her job and was like a grandmother to many of the children who loved her. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Amazing Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Thomasville.

In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by her husband of 58 wonderful years, Thomas “Tom” Luther Wallace; four brothers, and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her four loving children, Connie Swink of the home; Lisa Lemons (Tim), Gary Wallace (Melanie) all of Thomasville, Jon Wallace (Christy) of Lexington; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; many extended family members and her church family.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. A funeral service will follow Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Hillis Burton and Rev. Tim Burton officiating. A committal service will be held Thursday at 12:30 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
