Sheldon Eugene Martin

Mr. Sheldon Eugene Martin, 56, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. He was born on January 3, 1969 in High Point, NC to his parents, Shirley Jordan Martin and Richard Eugene Martin. Sheldon worked several years as a welder with Graphic Systems and then Burchett Signs. He was a longtime member of Wayside Freewill Baptist Church in Thomasville. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, playing golf, and shooting pool. Sheldon is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Martin Robbins.

Surviving are his parents, Shirley Jordan Martin and Richard Eugene Martin of Thomasville; his brother, Steve Martin and wife Anna of Thomasville; three nieces, Mikayla “Miko” Martin, Logan Robbins and Lauren Robbins and fiancé Michael; brother-in-law, Scotty Robbins; and best friend, Johnny Booe.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Jimmy Garrett officiating. The family will speak to friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
