Shirley Bradshaw Obituary

Shirley Mae Ayers Bradshaw, 82, of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born October 30, 1942 in Surry County to the late Phillip Ayers and Delilah Goins Ayers. Shirley worked 28 years at Thomasville Furniture Industries until her retirement; along with waitressing at Tommy’s BBQ and Captain Toms. She enjoyed attending Full Gospel Independent Baptist Church. She loved to play Bingo, go fishing and listen to bluegrass music. Her greatest joy in life was providing for her family and making memories with them.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Bradshaw on January 31, 2025; two children, Gary Pratt and Jimmy Myers; step son-in-law, Bobby Cutts.

Surviving is her two children, Patsy Cutts and Bryan Pratt and wife Ana Alejos-Pratt; two step-children, Kenny Bradshaw and Alan Bradshaw; two brothers, Albert Ayers and Ronnie Ayers and wife Tina; four sisters, Becky Dunn, Lucille Cates, Laverne Page and husband Jim, and Pansy Smith; she also leaves behind four grandchildren, Dakota Pratt and wife Giovanna, Joshua Hunt, Jennifer Barnhill and husband Michael, and Brittney Cutts; and numerous beloved great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
