Shirley Pierce Stilwell

Mrs. Shirley Jeanette Pierce Stilwell, 83, a resident of Davidson County, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Davidson Health & Rehab in Lexington. She was born on October 4, 1942 in Thomasville to her parents, the late Ina Hudson Pierce and Archie Reid Pierce. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville and she worked several years as a hairstylist and dental assistant. Her biggest accomplishment in life was her family. She spent many days watching her grandchildren and teaching them life lessons. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.E. “Ronnie” Stilwell; her granddaughter, Carly Caldwell-Stilwell; and her son-in-law, Peter Danny Hutcherson.

Surviving is her two children, Christina Hutcherson and Chris Stilwell and wife Aundi; her grandchildren, Troy, Johnathan, Nathan (Allie), Savannah, Christopher (Rene), and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Ambrose, Isaiah, Emily, and Ezekiel; two nieces, Donna Boone and Teresa Leonard (Tim) and both of their families, along with several other family member and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Michael Walker officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
