Mrs. Shirley Coleman Oliver, 84, of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 at her home.  She was born on November 6, 1941 in Whitmire, Newberry County, SC to Henry Odell Coleman and Addie Elizabeth Buchannon Williams.  She retired from Finch Industries in Thomasville.  She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Oliver on December 31, 1977; her brothers, Charles Williams and Jerry Coleman; and her sisters, Janet Williams and Sonya Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karen C. Drayton, Freda R. Tuttle (significant other Clyde Rogers), Pastor V. Faith Oliver-Tuttle (Bishop Keith L. Tuttle, Sr.), and Kimberly H. Oliver; her brothers, William Coleman (Catherine), Henry Coleman (Chan), Harry Coleman (Ann) and Phillip Coleman (Freelove); her sisters, Sarah Love, Louise Gaymon (Tray), and Evelyn Coleman; her 4 grandchildren, Timothy DeShawn Drayton (significant other Katelyn Reed), Keith LiMar Tuttle, Jr. (Diana), Charity L. Oliver (significant other David Dudley), and Chelsea L. Oliver; brother-in-law, Tommy Oliver (Francenia); bonus family members, LaTrelle Gladden (Jonathan), Jordyn Gladden, Jon Gladden, Joshua Tuttle, Jermel Eller, Amya Reed, Tommy R. Oliver, Titan Oliver, Byron Bogans (Contessa) and Martha Tuttle; and special friends, Gloria Leonard, Nancy Staton, and Mary Thomas.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM at First Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville with Pastor Calvin Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Carolina Biblical Gardens of Guilford.  Mrs. Oliver will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  The family will be at the funeral home for a visitation on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
