Stephen Gabriel Flippen

Stephen Gabriel Flippen, 36, of Denton passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Stephen was born on October 16, 1984 to Samuel “Sammy” Mamon Flippen, Sr. and Kimberly Leonard Flippen in Guilford County. His career was spent as a certified HVAC technician with Leonard & Son Mechanical in Salisbury. Stephen will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, including camping, hunting, fishing, spending time on the lake with his family, and son. He was a true gentleman, and was loved by all who knew him. Stephen was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Ruth H. Godfrey; maternal grandparents, James E. Leonard and Joyce Small Roseberry; paternal grandparents, Chester Woltz Flippen and Mary Alice Deaton Flippen.

In addition to his parents, surviving is his son, Caiden Gabriel Flippen of Asheboro; mother of his son, Natalie Dawn Hanes of Asheboro; a sister, Hannah Nicole Flippen of Denton; a brother, Samuel Flippen, Jr. and wife Nicole of Sellersburg, IN; four beloved nieces and nephews, Grayson Flippen, Baela Sowers, Kinley Flippen, Emmie Lou Hayes; many loving aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 3:30-4:30 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville with mask and social distancing required. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Zack Sizemore officiating.
