Mr. Stephen “Steve” Wellon Beamon, 68, a resident of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, December 3, 2021.

A lifelong resident of Forsyth County Steve was born on February 13, 1953 a son of the late Stanly James Beamon and the late Peggy Jane Thomas Beamon. Steve was a locomotive engineer for Norfolk Southern Railway and loved the railroad. He was a rock collector, enjoyed gem mining, liked to go salt water fishing and was an avid Carolina Tar Heel fan. On May 27, 1983 he married Marie Victoria “Vicky” Bowles who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his daughter, Courtney Cassel and husband Scott of Clemmons; his son, Tyler Beamon and wife Sara of Wilmington; grandchildren, Landon, Nora, Avery, Benjamin and Kaia; his sister, Lori Tuttle of Kernersville and his brother, Dwayne Beamon of Greensboro.
