Terry Wayne Parsons "T.P"

Terry Wayne Parsons “T.P”, 78, of Thomasville passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Terry was born August 17, 1946 in Surry County to the late John Wayne Parsons, Jr. and Opal Wilmoth Parsons. He served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. Terry worked for Thomasville Fire Department and retired as a Captain. He also worked delivering flowers for Nance Florist and later Elliott’s Florist.  He attended Park Place Baptist Church. Terry loved traveling to the Mountains, Coast, and playing golf. Terry was a true family man; his greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with them and making memories. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Gail “Dale” Junior Parsons. 

On April 18, 1966, he married, Carol Harrison Parsons, who survives of the home; also surviving are his two daughters, Wendi Parsons Shuler and husband Edgar and Christine Parsons Thornburg and husband Reid, all of Thomasville; two brothers, Jerry Parsons and wife Linda of Thomasville and Dean Parsons and wife Sharon of Denton; one sister, Angela Moore and husband David of Dunn; three grandsons that called him “PaPaw”, Christopher “Chad” Ragan of Thomasville, Jason Scot Ragan of Lexington, and Logan Storm Shuler of Thomasville; and his youngest grandson that called him, “Paw”, Noah Reid Thornburg of Thomasville. 

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Thomas Cruthis officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Military and Fire Honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at J.C.
