Terry Lee Reid

Mr. Terry Lee Reid, 81, a resident of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away November 16, 2021.

Terry was born November 5, 1940 in Forsyth County, NC a son of the late Willie Luther Reid and the late Bessie Mae Lambeth Reid. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ramona Mae Reid. A lifelong resident of Davidson County Terry was a contractor building houses, loved being outside, enjoyed doing bobcat work and spending time at the lake. Terry was a fan of NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves and was a member of the Wallburg Fire Department for forty-six years. He was a member of the Wallburg Baptist Church. On July 14, 1962 he married Shirley Clodfelter who preceded him death on February 10, 2003.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Mark Reid and wife Amy of Winston-Salem; his daughter, Sherrie Gilbert and husband Byron of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Jonathan Reid and wife Kristina of Denton, Kevin Alphin and wife Emily of High Point, Kimberly Smith and husband Ty of Winston-Salem, Sierra South and husband Cole of Winston-Salem; eight great-grandchildren; his brothers, Paul Reid and wife Maria of Winston-Salem, Nolan Reid and wife Edith of Winston-Salem and his canine companion Gypsy.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Wallburg Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Brandon Wolfe officiating. The family will greet friends and family following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
