Thomas Patton Obituary

Mr. Thomas William Patton, 68, of Thomasville passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Thomas was born April 29, 1953 to Lester Alvin Patton and Mary Lucille Bingham Hale in Macon County, North Carolina. He worked many years in the hosiery mill. He loved animals, especially birds and fish. Thomas was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed being outside and tending to his plants. His greatest blessing in life was the time spent with his beloved family. He will be greatly missed by many. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Lester Alvin Patton.

 

Surviving are his two daughters, Amber Doby and husband Matthew, Brandy Scammell and husband Michael; his mother, Mary Lucille Bingham Hale; one brother, Alvin Patton; four sisters, Patsy Patton Love and husband Donald, Vida Hicks, Joyce Poteet, Mary Sue Pullum and husband Roy, Jr.; four grandchildren, Dalton Oliver and wife Breanna, Dylan Doby, Dallas (Petey) Doby, Eliana Scammell; his nieces and nephews, Crystal Love, Philip Love, Brittany Patton, Brandon Hancock, Bradley Hancock, Debra Pullum, Joel Pullum, Leigh Hedrick, Pam Wallace.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Online condolances may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
