Timothy "Tim" Gene Byrd

Timothy “Tim” Gene Byrd, 63, of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center. Tim was born March 1, 1962 in Onslow County to the late Clyde Byrd and Madonna Lawless Byrd. Tim worked many years as a talented carpenter. He truly was a jack of all trades and could work on anything, from wood working to cars. He loved to play the guitar, sing and dance. He was a friend to many, gaining instant friendship and bond with everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Roxanne Steed Byrd on December 26, 2019; brother, David Byrd; two sisters, Lynn Byrd and Diane Byrd Holbrook; and his two “Fur Babies”, Loki and Miss. O’Malley

Surviving are his daughters, Presley Allsbrook (Joey), Lindsey Steed (Stephen); son, Tim “Timbeau” Byrd; six grandchildren, Ben Steed, Stephen Steed, Isabelle Steed, Anthony Byrd, Roxie Allsbrook and Joseph Allsbrook; his “Gal-Pal”, Tonya Laine; his three “Fur Babies”, Grog, Lyssa, and Farley. A special thanks to Terri Lynn Locklear for her friendship over the years.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with his daughter, Presley Allsbrook officiating.  Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
