Tony Lavinder Obituary
Tony Dean Lavinder, 58, of Winston-Salem and Kernersville communities went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 12, 2022 after many years of health challenges. He was born on March 2, 1964 in Forsyth County to William F. Lavinder and the late Bratania Smith Lavinder. Tony was of the Baptist faith. He worked when able, mostly in the transport/delivery industry and was a former volunteer with Triangle Volunteer Fire Dept. Tony loved going to Pizza Hut for wings with his cousin Josh. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Odille Smith.
He is survived by his father, William F. Lavinder of Thomasville; brothers, Jimmy W. Lavinder of Germanton and Steve M. Lavinder of Mt. Airy; aunt, Georgia Smith of Kernersville; cousin, Angie Smith of Kernersville, and second cousins, Josh Shoemaker of Kernersville, Melissa Burnette of Asheville and Monica Miller of Dover, OH.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at J.C. Green and Sons Wallburg Chapel with Chaplain John Connor officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the Lavinder family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
