Tony Lee Scarlett

Mr. Tony Lee Scarlett, 67, of Jolly Road, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Hinkle Hospice House.  He was born on September 18, 1957 in Davidson County, NC to Kevil Lee Gordon and Alma Scarlett.

He worked in the Plant Nursery Industry and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching golf, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Patsy Louise Benfield Scarlett on September 28, 2022.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Rebecca Louise Scarlett of Avery County, NC and Nona Jean Scarlett of the home; his son, Daniel Lee Scarlett of the home; two brothers, Ronald Scarlett and Keith Scarlett, both of Davidson County, NC; one sister, Laura Smith and husband Doug of Davidson County, NC; five grandchildren, Gracie Scarlett, Abraham Scarlett, Khloe Morales, Clara Morales, and Cassidy Morales; and his best friend, Dale Kindley of Lexington.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM in J. C. Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville. The family will greet friends for the hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be at Community Baptist Church Cemetry.
