Tracey D Kearns Obituary

Tracey D Kearns, 61, of Thomasville passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Friday morning, February 2, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Tracey was born January 11,1963 to the late Jerry Dean Kearns and Lula B Kearns in Iredell County. She graduated from East Davidson High School, class of 1981 and continued her education in cosmetology. Tracey owned and operated the Cutting Edge Salon in Thomasville.  She loved her clients and never met a stranger. Her failing health took her away from public work many years ago but did not change her determined spirit or her wit. She was very close to and loved by her family and will be greatly missed as a mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. 

Surviving are her daughter, Megan Johnson (Zane) of Archdale; a beloved granddaughter, Claire Johnson; two sisters, Kim Covington (Phillip) of Archdale, Susan Skaggs (John) of Summerfield; two nieces Caitlin and Carly; many special friends and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. The family will greet friends at 1:00PM followed by a chapel service at 2:00PM with Rev. Brian Eades officiating. An Inurnment will follow immediately after at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
