Travis Moore Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved son, Travis Moore on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.  Travis was born in High Point on September 20, 1980.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Katelyn Elizabeth Moore; grandmothers Juanita Clifton and Dorothy Moore; and grandfathers, Dewey Clifton and Harold Moore and his beloved dog, Fletcher. Travis is survived by his parents, Karon and Kenny Moore of High Point; son Jordan Moore of Thomasville; brother Tyler Moore(Kelly) of Cary; grandmother Betty Clifton of Thomasville; nephews, Wells and Shepard Moore; aunts and uncles, Wanda and Rick Cecil, Shay Clifton, Ed Wilson, Darren Clifton and many cousins. Travis graduated from Ledford High School in 1999 and had a great love for the outdoors.  He enjoyed the mountains and especially the time he spent living in Colorado, and later in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where he graduated from Appalachian State University.  Travis especially loved traveling to music festivals, sometimes bringing along his siblings. He was always ready for a new adventure and ready to go on a road trip or backpacking at a moments notice.  Travis was a devoted father who had an unconditional love for his son, Jordan.  He often said that Jordan was the best thing that every happened to him and they constantly declared their love for each other. Jordan's favorite saying was “Dad, I love you deep as the ocean wide as the sky.”  They enjoyed roaming around looking for their next adventure. Whether they were hiking, fishing, kayaking, or road tripping to see family in Cary, father and son loved every moment together. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Hollar and Rev. Roy Cantrell officiating. The family has requested per Covid 19 regulations that guest wear mask and use social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist church.
