Vickie Louise (Helms) Ballard

Vickie Louise Helms Ballard, 78 of Denton passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center. Vickie was born April 24, 1945 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Buren Alexander “BA” Helms and Lorraine Louise Kepley Helms. She loved the Lord with all her heart; she was faithful to reading her Bible daily, and listening to Southern Gospel music. She attended Community Baptist Church, which she loved dearly. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and loved taking care of her family. Vickie loved her family dearly and enjoyed every moment spent with them. She had a special bond with her beloved great-granddaughter, Victoria Stout. Vickie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Quinta Miller.

Surviving are her two daughters, Tanda Culleton and husband Harvey, Teria Dobbs and husband Jerry; one son, Britt Ballard; two brothers, Timothy Helms, Sr. and wife Sherry, Ken Helms and wife Carmela; three grandchildren, Terra Milan and husband Terry, Jay Dobbs, Shawn Culleton and wife Caitlin; three great-grandchildren, Victoria Stout, Zackary Culleton, Katie Culleton. She also leaves behind her fur-baby, Bella.    

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Community Baptist Church Youth Group, 385 Ernest Snider Road, Lexington, NC 27292. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
