Vivian Sibley Stone

Mrs. Vivian Sibley Stone, 83, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home. She was born on October 21, 1939 in Lincoln, Maine to the late Phillip Sibley, Sr. and Diana Mushero Sibley. For over 50 years, she was a faithful member of Hughes Grove Baptist Church in Thomasville. Vivian worked 25 years at PPG in Lexington and worked an additional 15 years at Walmart in Thomasville until her retirement at the age of 80. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Stone, Sr.; daughter, Colleen Stone Miller; granddaughter, Elizabeth Pritchard; and two siblings, Dorothy Sibley and Richard Sibley.

Surviving is her two daughters, Libby Stone McQueen of Graham and Belinda Stone Efird of Thomasville; one son, Jimmie Stone, Jr. and wife Peggy of the home; one sister, Shelley Stropparo of Lexington; three brothers, Dennis Sibley, Clayton Sibley and wife Vickie, and Phillip Sibley, all three of Maine; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hughes Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Hill officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
