Wanda Seagraves Lowman

Wanda Seagraves Lowman, 93, formerly of Thomasville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning March 1, 2026 at Morehead City.

Wanda was born July 5, 1932 to the late Edgar Seagraves and Lore Pearman Seagraves of Austinsville, VA. As a result of her faith in Christ, Wanda served at Southgate Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and supported the church for many years. She enjoyed gardening and trips with her family to the beach, where she spent the last four years of her life. As a Carolina beach girl, the Lord provided many warm days for Wanda to enjoy in the courtyard at her home. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful child of God.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lowman; a daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Slack; a son, Paul Lowman, Jr.

Surviving are her four children, Ann Smith and husband John of Pine Knoll Shores, Connie Agee and husband Tony of Vinton, VA, John Lowman and wife Robin of Thomasville, Michael Lowman and wife Maria of Durham; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Southgate Baptist Church in Thomasville, with Rev. Russel Fox and Rev. Chuck Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park where the family will greet friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Southgate Baptist Church or the dementia research organization of the donors choice.
