Wanda Jane (Stewart) Parsons

Wanda Jane Stewart Parsons, 69, of Lexington, passed away September 3, 2023, at Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington, NC.      

Wanda was born April 24, 1954, to the late Bondie George Stewart and Ida Floyd Stewart in Marion County, SC. 

Wanda worked for many years as a sewer in the furniture industry and then with her husband, Dale, delivering newspapers for most of the local papers.  She enjoyed shopping and she loved spending time with her husband, her family and her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Parsons and a brother Richard “Rickey” Stewart.

Wanda is survived by a daughter, Angie Dawn Wright and husband Ralph of Thomasville; a son, Justin Wayne Parsons of Thomasville; a brother, George Stewart and wife Yvonne of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Krissy Wright, Alex Wright, Terry Wright and wife Sydney; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held in the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel, Thomasville, at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2023, with Rev. Jack Hurley officiating.  The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.   Online condolences may be directed to www.jcgreenandsons.com.
