Wanda Gayle (Gilmore) Summey

Mrs. Wanda Gayle Gilmore Summey, 74, of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at her home. Wanda was born September 26, 1951 in Bennettsville, South Carolina to the late Grady Gilmore and Rosa Honeycutt.  She attended Lifepoint Church in Lexington which she loved dearly. She worked many years as the office manager at Davidson Orthopedics. She enjoyed country music, dancing, and going to the beach and mountains. Wanda was known for her sharp wit and great sense of humor. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her beloved family. She will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Johnson, Louise Hepler; and one brother Grady Lee Gilmore.

Surviving is her loving husband Timothy “Tim” Locke Summey of the home; two sons, Mark Hulon and Mickey Hulon and wife Jeri Lynn Hulon; one brother, Larry “Buddy” Gilmore; two sisters, Ruth Thompson and Gloria DeHart; four grandchildren, Megan, Zachary, River and Leigh; and six great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held January 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Lifepoint Church in Lexington with Rev. Nathan Becker officaiting.The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:15 PM until 1:40 PM.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
