Wayne Grubb

Mr. Henry “Wayne” Grubb, 81, a resident of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Salisbury, NC. 

He was born in Davidson County, on September 27, 1944, to the late Henry Clay Grubb and Gradie Wilson Grubb.  Wayne was the owner of Thomasville Sprinkler, Inc. and loved helping people in any way he could.  He enjoyed all types of fishing, watching NASCAR and trips to the beach.  Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and helping raise his grandchildren. 

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Patsy Biesecker Grubb, of the home; two step-daughters, he loved as his own, Kelley Michael (William Gantt) of Florida, Molly Lanier and husband Stan of Salisbury; his sister, Emily Grubb Sink of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Ali Lanier Parks and husband Nathan, and Tate Lanier.  Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Emanuel Reformed Church, with Pastor Ricky Payne and Rev. Hulon Pait officiating.  The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the church prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wayne’s honor may be given to a local Humane Society or simply provide an act of kindness to someone in need.
