Wesley "Wes" Patterson Obituary

Mr. Wesley “Wes” Larry Patterson, 85, a resident of Thomasville, passed away at High Point Medical Center on Monday afternoon, December 29, 2025.  Wesley was born July 26, 1940, in Davidson County, to the late Pat Patterson and Mary Bell Beck Patterson.  Wes proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and, upon returning stateside, became a successful entrepreneur in Thomasville and owned several businesses during his lifetime. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Shriners.  During the 1980’s, Wes was presented the Key to the City of Thomasville and was also a past Governor and proud member of the Thomasville Rotary Club. Wes was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville. He loved to play golf and traveled for business all over the world.  Wes enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers football games and in his spare time, assembled beautiful hand-made jewelry.  Wes impacted many lives through his business ventures and will be missed by everyone who knew him. 

Surviving is his daughter, Sheri Patterson; his brother, Jim Patterson and wife Faye; his sister, Sandra Couch and husband George; his first wife of 40 years, Elizabeth Grey McAdams; his ex-wife, of the most recent 10 years, Marilyn Pergerson; several nieces and nephews and other extended family members. 

No formal services will be held at this time; however, Wes Patterson’s remains will be interred at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC, at a later date.  Memorials may be given to The Thomasville Rotary Club: PO Box 444, Thomasville, NC 27361.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
