William Ray Brown

Mr. William Ray Brown, 78 of Lexington passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Cancer Center. Ray was born March 13, 1942 to the late Carrol Brown and Vernice Brown in Duplin County, North Carolina. Ray was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College where he obtained his Bachelors Degree. He worked many years as a Salesman in the Water Treatment Industry. He was a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake. He loved to go shopping and look for a good deal. His precious granddaughters where always sure to bring a smile to his face. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; he will be greatly missed.

Surviving is his wife of 55 years, JoAnn McGlohon Brown of the home; one son, William “Keith” Brown and wife Stacey; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Brown; one brother, Terry Brown; one sister, Carolyn; two granddaughters, Reagan and Cameron; he also leaves behind many other beloved family members.
