William "Clay" Hall

Mr. William “Clay” Hall, age 92, of the Wallburg Community, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 26, 2025.  He was born in Stokes County on August 19, 1933, the oldest of eight children, to the late Roy Clinton and Matha Mabe Hall.  Clay attended Mt. Pleasant Church and was retired from MGM Trucking Company. After retirement he started the Employee Furniture Company.  He loved to fish, play golf, work in his shop, and keep his home and property in immaculate condition.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bronna Bennett, and a brother, Roy Clinton Hall.

Surviving is his wife, Margaret Shelton Hall of the home; son, Tony Hall and wife Pam of Winston-Salem; brother, Steve Thomas Hall of Summerfield; four sisters, Lois Wret of Greensboro, Mary Sue Lawson of Lawsonville, Margaret Lou Sands of Rural Hall, and Hazel Mae Shelton of King; two grandsons, Josh Hall and wife Erin of Charlotte, and Jared Hall and wife Lindsay of Winston-Salem; and six great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Liam, Emory, Brynlee, Lucas, and Mack.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Church with Pastor Chris Clontz and Rev. Pete Bumgarner officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary, 6516 Old Greensboro Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.  Memorial gifts may be directed the American Heart Association, P.O.
