William Edward Kinley

Mr. William Edward Kinley, 80 a resident of Davidson County passed away on July 12, 2021 in Altoona, Alabama surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Randolph County on April 12, 1941 a son to the late Fred Edward Kinley and Pauline Parks Kinley. William attended Thomasville Church of God and served his country in the U S Army for over fifteen years and then retired from the military. He then started a career at Thomasville Furniture and sold produce and was known to his customers as Big Ed. His time in the service always held a special place in his heart as he traveled to Vietnam and Germany. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Colleen Cranford Kinley and four sisters.

Surviving are his daughters, Deborah K Roberson and Melissa K. Watts; brothers, Albert, Terry, Danny, Kenneth and Dean Kinley; sister, Norman Jean VonCannon; grandchildren, Sarah. Alex. Rebekah and Andrew Watts, Jeremiah and Isaiah Roberson. William also leaves behind many beloved relatives and close friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery officiated by Rev. Alan Greene with military honors. Mr. Kinley will lie in state on Monday July 19, 2021 from 1:00 until 8:00 PM at J C Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville for those that would like to come by and show your respects.
