William Donald Queen, 75, originally of Harmony, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a motorcycle accident.  He was born on June 17, 1951 in Iredell County to the late Ralph and Betty Ward Queen.  William was a proud United States Marine serving in the Crash Unit during the Vietnam War from 1970-1974.  He was a steel worker by trade and continued the craft throughout his life.  William loved his family and will be remembered as a man that put others needs before self.  He became his mother’s caregiver in her late life.

Surviving is his son, Will Queen and wife Tara of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Danny Queen of Texas, and Jimmy Queen of Union Grove; six grandchildren, Shelton, Ayden, Asher, Landon, Noah, and Miles; two aunts, Martha and Shirley; uncle, Jim; and three nieces, Angela, Pam, and Lisa.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Christ Wesleyan Church with Pastor Caleb Strickland officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM in the church fellowship center, 2390 Union Cross Road, Winston-Salem. Services and parking toward the rear of facility.
